German Official at Nova Massacre Site Warns of Rising Antisemitism: Dr. Philipp Salamon-Menger, Director General for Cultural and Religious Affairs in Kiel and responsible for combating antisemitism in his region, visited the Nova festival massacre site as part of the largest German delegation to visit Israel since October 7th. Shaken by the sights and testimonies, he drew a direct line to the situation of Jews in Germany: "People from the Jewish community tell me they must be more discreet, cannot wear their kippot in public, and hide any Jewish symbols". We welcome his commitment to deepen the fight against antisemitism. Silence is not an option.
